Known as the number one seminar and events center in East-Belgium, Kloster Heidburg effortlessly mixes 21 st century technology with 18 th century architecture.

Dedicated to comfort, elegance, and hospitality, the decommissioned church recently underwent a full refurbishment program which saw the building’s entire electrical system upgraded using HDL KNX automation solutions.

As part of the upgrade HDL installed on demand lighting, automatic HVAC management, and zoned audio control.

To control the HDL KNX system, a 10 inch wall mounted control panel was fitted to give staff a powerful centralized management solution.

A special consideration during the project was that the newly installed solutions had to use existing conduit and tracks, so that the building’s stone work was undisturbed.

The outcome of this was the HDL KNX system became completely camouflaged, with the installed solutions being invisible to the untrained eye.
